So, lets some it up. We have Eldrad who presumably joins the D cannon battery, safe under the shade of the void shield bubble (with tank traps for insurance from knights) all of which support a massive seer council of 2 farseers and 10 warlocks all on eldar jet bikes. To make matters worse, they are joined by Baharroth (for hit and run plus a 2+ save and eternal warrior tank!) and with some 20+ power dice every turn, invisible/shrouded/fortuned is a pretty reasonable guess on the unit as well. In fact, the council runs at over 1000 points in this fashion! The biggest issue is its lack of flexibility and hitting power. While baharroth is alive, the council can engage where it likes and then hit and run away but once he is gone, the unit is going to struggle.

The list also only have 2 objective secured units in the form of windriders – one of which is 9 strong with scatter lasers! These will both be high priority targets for any opponent to lock out the late game objective scoring. The D cannon limited range also means that they will only likely be able to engage when the opponent want them to though eldrad with scout will be an interesting proposition.

I can see this list being used as a bully list – being put up to sucker out a list in the match up process and then floating around the table for the game to late game grab and win or using it as a hard counter to lists which will simply be unable to deal with the deathstar – even knights won’t like the game as they pack so much armour bane in the one unit (along with a single haywire grenade) that the addition of prescience/doom or the like is almost a guaranteed kill against an imperial/wraith knight. The former comes with the explosive finish which could be very bad for the seers but mostly its survivable for them.

Its probably the most extreme of the eldar deathstars this year – but wait till you see the list I post tomorrow!
