What a month its been between posts!
I get the feeling that the lead up to and aftermath of the Western Australian 40k masters event each year is going to see a lull in posting just prior and just after – its a very busy period and we need a week to recover! Add in a visit from overseas relatives, sick kids and me needing to paint an army in a fortnight and well… something has to give!
Masters was a great success despite the fact we had to run the event on Fathers day this year. Our local hobby veteran Tom White walking away with the win after 6 games over 2 days with his Spacewolves/Grey Knights army. We have a bunch of photos and videos from the event so you can check out all the action from the event in the next week or 2 once we finish all the editing!

ATC 2016
The Australiasian Team Challenge is here again and I find myself a week to go and still painting – surprise! In my defence, the fact we had masters just a couple of weeks prior to the ATC meant my prep time of army building became scenery building… but I will get it done… who needs sleep right! For those of you following along, the Community Comp bit may or may not make any sense – you can check it out here. It does heavily impact on army selection which is why there might be a couple of oddities in the build above.
The most interesting part about this army right now is the fact I am painting it in 2 weeks. At the time of writing this I have completed the Harvest (with extra scarabs for spawning), most of the reclamation legion (still got a monolith and tomb blades to do) but the destroyer cult is still waiting in the wings to be done as well. Once its done I will get some photos and show off just what you can complete in 2 weeks with a plan! (yes I have a plan for the army Emma – just not written down!)
Once ATC is done and dusted we have a couple of big announcements for 2017… more on that soon!
