Episode 33: I only work in Black!
Or sometimes really really dark grey! What happens when a very contentious topic rears its head on social media? We chat about it! Mike and Emma look at the myriad way that events manage painting standards, look at the whys of those decisions and then explore the core root of the issue that ‘Paint Shaming’ seems to come from.
We look at the recent events happening around WA, including the Toy Solider Cartels doubles event (which DangerRod covers his games and list HERE), as well as our first event for 2019 – First Blood. We are super excited this event is so loved by players and were amazed that it sold out in less than 24 hours!
The mighty Warlord Titan is only mentioned briefly (shocking I know) but be safe in the knowledge that its assembly is all but complete and the mechanicus will be delivering it to the paint shop for final crafting (ie I am setting up the airbrush!) shortly.
What do you think about having to paint your forces for an event? Do you enjoy painting or is a means to an end? – that of actually attending an event. Do you feel like allowing unpainted models has a negative impact on an event and would that affect your choice to attend an event? We would love to hear about your experiences – we want to hear from you!
