Episode 59: First Blood (2020)
The 5th annual ‘First Blood’ event is upon us and its time to check out this now veteran event and see what makes it tick. First Blood started as a hobby and intro style of event and while we stumbled a little in the last year (or 2) I’m very pleased to say that 2020 appears to have seen the event return to its roots.
We take a look at some of the limits imposed at First Blood 2020, talk about the decisions made to get it here and what players can expect from the missions. Players packs and players not reading them also rears its head again – any feedback you have to the questions we raise is welcome! Grab Chapter Approved 2019 to check out the full missions or grab our players pack for the event HERE.
We also had 2 listener contacts to cover. First off – Matthew Brown. Matt got in touch and has been listening to me for a while – since my time on Worlds End Radio! He has started up a youtube channel which – in Matts words – The content is designed to augment a player’s own game by adding story and background. Plenty of narrative stuff, satire and more. Check it out and hit subscribe to help get the word out.
Second contact we got was from Keith in Switzerland. He is heading to his first GT in Prague at the end of February – Hosted by Gamemateu. He’s going super ballsy and taking pre space wolves! Wishing you the best of luck for that Keith!
Have you played our First Blood event yourself? If not – would you be keen to give it a try? How do you find 4×4 tables? What about smaller points games? We would love to hear about your experiences and hear your feedback on this topic – we want to hear from you!
Enough reading – go listen! Scroll to the bottom to stream it now or grab it from iTunes – Be sure to leave us a review on iTunes if you grab it there.
