Now that’s taken care of…
I really love being a part of Worlds End Radio – its a medium for expression that really appeals to me. I am a talker by nature so pod casting works so well for me. I can get my ideas out there far faster than with the written word – more legible as well as my hand writing is abysmal!
I have been part of the show for many years now, first as a guest host and then when life threw a curve ball and JJ had to step down, as the permanent co-host with Luke. I have nothing but the upmost respect for Luke and the work that goes into each and every one of the recordings that are made available – there is so much work done to make them as polished and professional as possible.
As the years have gone along, we have expanded the format to include any game that takes our fancy rather than focusing on the GW games that brought us into this hobby but for me – the real victories in the episodes are the hobby ones. We focus on building gaming tables, terrain, working with resin as well as advice for TO’s and event organisers. I have lost track of how many people have gotten in touch with me via email or in person to say how much these episodes helped them in their hobby.
I think that’s the most satisfying part of the whole thing – knowing that we are not just shouting into the void and that what we are saying is making some little difference to someone, somewhere.
We are not the holy grail of knowledge but I like to think we know our stuff!
So do me (and Luke) a favour – check out the show via the website or iTunes or wherever. Pick one with a game system that’s always interested you but you have never really bitten the bullet or a hobby show with a topic you always wanted help with and listen – I like to think you will get something out of it. If nothing else, you should get a laugh!
I have also had a few listeners ask for more 40k content from us… well… that objective might just be secured sooner rather than later!
