Episode 102: Let the galaxy burn! – Horus Heresy
Episode 102 is here and the galaxy burns with righteous fury and retribution. Three plus hours again but this time it’s a binary conversation – do you side with the Warmaster or the Master of mankind in the Horus Heresy?
This episode see us delve into the new Age of Darkness box game for ‘The Horus Heresy’ by Games Workshop (thanks to GW for giving us a box early to review!) We check out the new releases, talk about what we think about the aussie pricing, discuss some of the awesome design cues and hints and discover Mike has kept his traitor roots and decided Goth isn’t Goth enough and that Night Lords are the way this box needs to be painted.
We even have some sneak peaks of the converted Praetors and the Spartan ready for its consecration in blood and darkness.
We then have a local hobby veteran Sam join us to talk about the past and future of Heresy gaming here in Western Australia, some of the hesitancy of the existing player base for this new version of the game and his hopes for the future. It was really good to catch up with Sam and I look forward to murdering… I mean meeting… his Ultramarines on a table soon!
