Episode 17: Casting Shade

The Mirrored City of Shadespire is a nightmare plane of illusions and madness, an ever-changing labyrinth of endless stairs, cramped streets and soaring archways. The original city is drained of all colour and life, and for thousands of years, it has rested as a foreboding ruin. Those unfortunate, brave, or foolhardy adventurers that set foot within its walls are drawn through the veil between realms and trapped within the Mirrored City. For such wayward souls, all hope seems lost. Yet there are those who will not accept their fate without a fight.

With that ominous introduction how could we possibly say no to learning this awesome game! Emma and Mike take up Axe and Sword and enter the City of Shadespire with warbands in tow… Blood Warriors and Liberators clash and fun is had… enough fun that Mike got to buy a 3rd warband!

We check out what you get in the box and just what you can expect from the game in terms of time, money and experience. We discuss just how the game might go in the hands of the family and kids for a game night of sword to sword combat and look at some of the little things we picked up in our first few games in the mirrored city.

We are also very pleased to announce the first GRAND CLASH for Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire to be run in Australia will happen at SHO 2018! It’s a first for Australia to our knowledge as well as the first in the southern hemisphere! We are very excited to be working with the team at Warhammer World on this… it’s a very hard cap on attendance as well so once tickets are up – be sure to grab yours fast!
