Episode 26: Information Overload

Overload

With the Southern Hemisphere Open for 2018 still a shining bright light in our memories, today sees us do a mass information dump on being a Tournament Organiser and some of the many things you should think about when it comes to planning, organising and executing a tabletop event – regardless of game system!

We do a brief wrap up of the Southern Hemisphere Open (or SHO for short) – and we mean brief, even for us! We talk about our last event for the year that’s now about 5 weeks away and where that event will go in future (as well as it being the one that kick started our event calendar back in 2015).

I also get a little side tracked with my new Drukhari force taking shape. If you have not built these models, you should check out the hellion sprues – I was literally cutting out a flexed bicep from the sprues for the hell glaives for 3 of the 5 models per set… and I am playing with 20 of them in this army! Pictures will come in the next few weeks for my Dark Harlequins Carnival…

Are you an organiser yourself? Did we miss anything you have learned running events yourself? Perhaps you have had a different experience to ours when it comes to one of our points? Any and all information from other organisers is valuable so why not give us your thoughts – we want to hear from you!
