Episode 89: Trying Something New

Episode 89: Trying Something New

Trying something new can be a daunting prospect, reflecting on how it all panned out can be just as tough! So of course, we decided to do that reflection on air for you all to hear! We are talking First Blood 2021 and the incursion format today.

We talk about the highs and lows of this, the 6th annual First Blood 40k event. Incursion presented a whole host of new challenges, possibilities and ideas and we have already taken a lot of great learning from this event for future events. You can check out the Goonhammer write up for the event and its winners HERE. You can also check out the photo gallery HERE, give James a like while you are there!

We cover a bunch of new stuff from GW which we have missed in the rescheduling of our commitments including a new vampire, THE daemon prince, new animation projects, the new campaign expansion for 40k, a new local aussie critter and new bloodbowl info to name just a few!

This amazing space wolf was part of the winning players (and judges!) choice awards at First Blood.

While Western Australia is all but returned to normal, we want to make sure you are all looking after yourselves during this trying quarantine period – if you need help from more than your present support network (and are in Western Australia) you can contact Beyond Blue (1300 22 46 36), Life line (131 114) or Crisis Care (089223 1111). If you are outside of Western Australia we really encourage you checking out your local provider of mental health via your preferred search engine.

Have you played incursion missions before? Did you play at first blood? What do you think of sports scoring and how best to handle it? We would love to hear about your experiences and hear your feedback on this – we want to hear from you!
