Episode 94: I am the Law
When you decide to play your first tournament, asking for a judge to resolve an issue (or lay down the law) seems to be something a lot of players struggle with – so much so that even when we say it before every event we still get queries days, or even weeks, after an event and confusion around a rules issue that would be easily resolved on the spot. We talk about just how you can approach this topic and some of the mental hurdles you might face.
The 4 main pieces of news can be summed up as – new streaming service (interesting to see how that plays out), new underworlds warband (who doesn’t like that crab honestly!?!), new FAQ’s for 40k (yes they did some amazing quality if life changes!) and most importantly the new Age of Sigmar (oh my god this looks so good!)
While Western Australia is all but returned to normal, we want to make sure you are all looking after yourselves during this trying quarantine period – if you need help from more than your present support network (and are in Western Australia) you can contact Beyond Blue (1300 22 46 36), Life line (131 114) or Crisis Care (089223 1111). If you are outside of Western Australia we really encourage you checking out your local provider of mental health via your preferred search engine.
How do you go with asking for a judge when you have a query at the table? Are you like Mike and don’t mind advocating for yourself or would you find it uncomfortable? We would love to hear about your experiences and hear your feedback on this – we want to hear from you!
