2 weeks to paint 1500 points of Harlequins for the WATC….
Finished!
Ok – table top standard is still finished!
Honestly I am very happy with how it all came together. From left to right, back to front…
2 Sky Weavers (Light Troupe), Void Weaver (DeathJesters), 2 Sky Weavers (Dark troupe)
8 Harlequins – Light, Twilight and Dark troupes.
3 Death Jesters, Solitaire, 3 Shadow Seers
The colours and basing all tie it back to my dark elder (who probably deserve a feature here at some point!) and to get it done in just a couple of weeks has nearly done me in!
The WATC kicks off in about 8 hours from now and for once I get to play an event while my wife runs the show! Yes, that’s right – I convinced my non gaming wife that it would be great if she could run it while I played! How awesome is that!
I have mentioned what the WATC is before but as a brief recap – 16 teams of 4 come together tomorrow to see which team can come out on top. If you are genuinely interested in the format – its based of the ETC and ATC (Australia) but allowed me to engage the community in a way most of them had never even heard of! You can find the Players Pack, Pairing System and Sample Match ups to give you an idea of what’s going on.
But lets get to the juicy bits – the lists! 64 players gives a very good idea of my local ‘meta’.
There are probably still a couple of errors in there but they should be 99% right.
For the record, I am page 51!
What was really cool though is that one of the players got stuck into the data and made a bunch of charts and graphs for us! I wont post them all (save that till the results are out!) but for now – some very cool info here… lets start with the summary.
No surprises and yet some shockers at the same time! We have every codex bar Inquisition, Death Watch and Legion of the Damned making an appearance on the weekend in some form or another. Eldar and Tau still lead the pack but not every team used them – and not every team used both either!
I have the individual break ups by codex and points spent but they have to wait… I still have to pack my gear and get up in about 5 hours time.
Lets see how the laughing god treats me tomorrow!
