Episode 49: Tiebreakers

Episode 49: Tiebreakers

We almost had more than a few tiebreakers at the West Australian Team Challenge – which has come and gone for another year and the 4th annual WATC was quite the event! 96 players came out as part of 16 teams of 6 with the event becoming a 2 day, 5 game, 2000 point showcase of competitive gaming in Western Australia. What a weekend it was!

Tiebreakers

This episode was suggested by one of our Patrons – Steve – so we have to say thanks for the topic! We take a look at the winning teams’ lists for WATC 2019 – the Feelsbadmen – as well as a more in depth look at the lists our Patrons ran at the event. With the unique nature of team events and the complex ETC style missions in play, the lists are wide and varied for sure!

For those of you keen to get more info on the event, you can find the full lists HERE – anything highlighted in yellow is a change made after the initial submission. You can find the players pack HERE and the mission pack HERE. Maybe you want to join us for 2020 – check out the event page on Facebook HERE. You can find the full 2019 event listing at Down Under Pairings HERE and our Patreon page HERE.

Have you ever played in a team event before? How did you find the match up process and the planning stages of the event? Does the team format interest you for other games? We would love to hear about your experiences and hear your feedback on this contentious topic – we want to hear from you!
