Episode 70: And Here’s The Pitch

Episode 70: And Here’s The Pitch

here's the pitch

So your partner has asked why gaming is important to you – what do you get out of it? Why do it in the first place? Well – Here’s the pitch. Its actually good for you! Can you believe that? Never let it be said that getting out to events and gaming is bad for you…At least as far as the biological side of things goes. Missing a birthday or anniversary takes bravery as well!

With the COVID restrictions gradually lifting locally, we decided to share some of the benefits shown in actual research about common gaming behaviours and trends. While we are talking casually, Emma spent a lot of time looking into the health side of events and it’s a really interesting topic.

With the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 just around the corner we take a moment to chat about the Indomitus Box that will be hitting shelves in July as well as the previewed next step models shown on Warhammer TV live on twitch. Mike is super excited for 9th and we hope to have a bunch of articles and content for you all soon.

We want to make sure you are all looking after yourselves during this trying quarantine period – if you need help from more than your present support network (and are in Western Australia) you can contact Beyond Blue (1300 22 46 36), Life line (131 114) or Crisis Care (089223 1111). If you are outside of Western Australia we really encourage you checking out your local provider of mental health via your preferred search engine.

Did you know about any of the health benefits that coming to events can bring? Have you or someone you know felt better after an event because they fit? We would love to hear about your experiences and hear your feedback on this – we want to hear from you!
