Episode 92: Under the Microscope

Episode 92: Under the Microscope

Under the microscope

Streaming games of Warhammer 40,000 (or any tabletop game for that matter) are definitely under the microscope right now after a notable player was caught playing in an otherwise sporting manner. While this episode does not delve into the idea of cheating and unsportsmanlike conduct it does tackle some of the questions and ideas surrounding streaming and what the future of that might look like.

We cover the first 4 days of Warhammer Fest as well as the new synthetic brushes and why they might have gone this way over sable with some claims from an industry insider. The Warhammer Fest previews host some amazing models including what could be model of the year – a giant crab!

For the topic – we cover 3 questions, should players who end up on a stream…

1. have the option to decline playing on camera

2. be remunerated for playing on camera

3. have some protection/assurance from the streamer/organiser that they will not be unfairly targeted during or post event

We would love to hear your thoughts on this one and stay tuned for the survey to follow!
