Episode 96: Life of a TO

Episode 96: Life of a TO

The life of a TO – or tournament organiser – is one fraught with trials, tribulations and plans. Even the best laid plans need help once in a while and it turns out Emma and I had the same idea when it came to this episode. Its time to once again pull back the veil on the life of a TO.

We talk all things about being a TO, from terrain and logistics to how best to know when you are ready to grow and scale up your events or how to set expectations. It’s a complex and varied world we operate within and we are all about transparency so it’s a pretty frank discussion.

We also talk Warhammer Plus (you can find the videos for the launch HERE and HERE) which we are super keen to see more on (as well as know just how much it will be here in OZ!) as well as the new terrain layouts being shown for the US open 40k series. We come across as a little critical but be have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for Mike and the team who are running these events in the USA.

While Western Australia is all but returned to normal, we want to make sure you are all looking after yourselves during this trying quarantine period – if you need help from more than your present support network (and are in Western Australia) you can contact Beyond Blue (1300 22 46 36), Life line (131 114) or Crisis Care (089223 1111). If you are outside of Western Australia we really encourage you checking out your local provider of mental health via your preferred search engine.

What do you think about Warhammer plus? How do you feel about the terrain layouts? Do you have a question you want us to answer? Do you have a recommendation for Emma for Netflix? We would love to hear about your experiences and hear your feedback on this – we want to hear from you!
