Wet Pallet Review – OTP Terrain & Miniatures

OTP Terrain & Miniatures – Wet Pallet Review

Overview:

Before I get into the review – you should go and check out the kickstarter campaign for the Wet Pallet HERE.

For the past few weeks I have had the chance to test the upcoming OTP wet pallet, and I can say with certainty that it is a high quality and useful product. The high quality 3D printed plastic pallet has been redesigned and remade multiple times based upon feedback and suggestions to create the ideal wet pallet for all circumstances.

Is it easy to use?

The wet pallet is incredibly simple to use and maintain. The design has been tweaked multiple times to the current design for the greatest user experience possible, with the ease of replacing the paper inside, the creative and simple way of flattening the paper (Inside the pallet there is a panel that is used to not only hold the paper inside, but it also can be used as a convenient way of keeping the new paper flat in the pallet; via dragging it along the pad.) and convenient places to put both brushes and pots, the pallet is the most user friendly and straight forward design without compromising on functionality.

What can it do?

Putting paint onto the pad is as easy as dropping it on from a dropper bottle or placing from a pot, from here the paint is ready to use (after thinning to your liking). The pallet was able to keep the paint wet for up to 2 days in my testing, and that was without a lid; according to testing by OTP themselves the pallet could last up to 3 times this long with the lid on as intended. The lid has been redesigned multiple times to improve the seal and stop leaking, so if you want to take it to a store/gathering that should not be a problem; along with this the lid has places to hold paintbrushes and paint pots from 3 brands, not just GW!

Wet pallet

Basically-

– The pallet is useful for keeping paint wet longer.

-The pallet is good for blending, as mixed tones would stay useful for longer.

-Good for an experienced OR novice painter.

-simple to maintain

All in all, the OTP terrain wet pallet is a quality product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality wet pallet be they a novice painter or an experienced one.

Any small problem that I have found with the product has been improved and redone with the next revision to create this final product that is of the highest quality and usefulness. I can’t wait to see how successful the forthcoming kickstarter is!
